Abingdon Co. has unveiled the new and improved Marina dive watch, eight years after it was first introduced.

Abingdon Co., a watch company founded by women, is launching its latest dive watch—the Marina 2.0, an upgraded version of its popular purpose-built timepiece designed to endure the ocean depths.

The enhanced Marina watch boasts the brand’s inaugural lightweight sandblasted titanium case and band, developed based on customer feedback to make it less attractive to marine life by reducing its reflectiveness.

According to Abingdon Mullin, the company’s CEO, “Since 2015 when we initially introduced the Marina dive watch, its purpose was to provide a watch crafted by female divers for female divers. We achieved that successfully, and now numerous female divers worldwide wear the Marina watch in both fresh and saltwater. Continuously attentive and receptive, we’ve listened to the desires of female divers and enhanced our most popular dive watch with the Marina 2.0 version. It’s remarkable what insights a brand can gain when attentive to its customers,” Mullin said.

The Marina 2.0’s case is slimmer in vertical profile, having been reduced from the original 15mm to 12.5mm. Abingdon Co. new logo, which is inspired by the Valkyries of Norse mythology, graces the dial below the 12 o’clock marker. The sandblasted titanium pairs elegantly with the vibrant genuine mother-of-pearl dials, available in Reef Red, Yellow Snapper, Caribbean Green, and Pacific Purple, along with Bahama Blue, which has a luminous dial.

Additional Features:

  • Water-resistant up to 660 feet
  • Sapphire Crystal
  • Miyota 8215 Automatic movement
  • Power Reserve: 40+ Hours
  • Uni-directional Diver’s outer bezel
  • Bi-directional rotating World Timer Function
  • Date and time function
  • SuperLuminova Hour and Hand Coatings for low light visibility
  • Luminous Dial (Bahama Blue only)

The Marina 2.0 is priced at US$839 and can be purchased on abingdonco.com and through various retail partners nationwide. For more details, visit the brand’s website.

About the company

Abingdon Co. is a Las Vegas-based manufacturer and direct-to-consumer retailer of women’s technical performance watches. Its collection, known as “Watches for women who do more,” offers a myriad of functions with unique interchangeable bands catering to the needs of its Crew Member wearers.

In 2007, founder Abingdon Mullin’s quest for a fashionable yet durable pilot watch led her to establish the brand. Disappointed with the lack of options, she decided to design her own timepiece, which would be built for women who do more.

Abingdon watches are made to be tactical tools, featuring surgical-grade stainless steel, sapphire crystals and genuine leather bands, to inspire women to free their exceptional power, making inroads for the next generation, as female divers, pilots, mechanics, race car drivers and more.

Through the Abingdon Foundation, the company supports scholarship and mentorship programs, which champion individuals who shatter barriers in spaces where women have long been overlooked.

Abingdon Co. watches are available on abingdonco.com and major retailers such as Macy’s and all military exchange stores.
