grease for the ears

Rebreather world - 2 hours 36 min ago
yo all

When sitting at my desk and trying to dig through my pile of accumulated administrational deeds I like to massage my half deaf ears with some tunes ... and got so sired of my mp3 collection and all that, as well got so tired about all the advertising and bullshit talk on radio ...

I found this internet radio station Radio Paradise free of comercials and breaks with a mellow choice of music I came to apreciate and like a lot that I would like to share it .... just go onto the web page, click under listen and choose your connection ... and thats it ...

It can be found under Radio Paradise - Commercial Free Internet Radio - Online Radio, Stone Ground, Hand Mixed, Served Hot and accessed with any mp or media player installed on your computer.

Hope you enjoy as much as I do

greetings
Matt

Badly disguised purchase justification

Rebreather world - 2 hours 42 min ago
Hæ all,
allright say let's say I'm doing 25min, less than 20m dives two-three times every other day in 2C cold water, would an rebreather (mCCR) be able to replace my oc gear for guiding?

Here are some justification points I thought of and well... points against and staying in oc-land:
+ Ability to talk underwater
+ Warm breathing air :)
+ No bubbles
- Warm up time?
- Operational Cost (O2, scrubber, service)

and are there any technical objections the wise would have to such rebreather usage, ie. scrubber warmup time or due to the cold environment that would make it significantly unwise to use a rebreather?

Cheers Jói

Dive lights in South Africa

Rebreather world - 11 hours 58 min ago
Has anyone used the scubapro LED module lighting system?:help:

I have looked the information on the other dive lights and each one has its merits.:sarcy: It is quite costly to import the salvo, haylcon, etc

I am using a homemade built one. Pictures attached. Currently used as my primary. I want to use this as my back up.:brickwall

Anyone have any ideas on good torches that have

1. Umbilical cord
2. longer then 2hrs burntime
3. 18 watts
4. Fast charge
5. led/halogen.
6. Handle
7, will not cost an arm or a leg :D

Regards

It is used but not dove since upgrades and test/inspection by Drager tech. I obtained it from a friend who had a urge to dive everything made. I've had it for a number of years but never had much interest in diving it but want to get into recreational rebreathers-thus wife says sell something if you want to buy something.:D
As ususal the disclaimer-I assume no liability for selling you this rig and you assume all liability for the proper use, maintenence, storage, training...etc

Silly O2 feed question

Rebreather world - 6 January, 2009 - 21:03
Hi all,

so I am getting a new NarkedAt90 cell checker soon and I have a dumb question. I need to connect the manual addition hose to the cell checker to fill it up with O2 at 1bar or whichever it is. It seems I would need to plug the O2 solenoid feed to do that and probably remove the hose then plug it at the first stage level. Any other idea ?
