SyngBIO 2017, the third meeting of researchers and other professionals working to understand the unique biology of Syngnathid fishes (seahorses, pipefishes, pipehorses, and seadragons) is about to held in Florida.

Syngbio 2017 will be held in lovely Tampa, Florida (USA), May 14-19, 2017, hosted by The University of Tampa and co-hosted by Project Seahorse at the University of British Columbia, Canada.

Because there are so many citizen science and science divers who may be working on seahorses, but from a photo documenting perspective, we may not be reaching them. There are going to be special workshops on practical seahorse taxonmy, and presentationsl on citizen science trends monitoring going on all over the world, so this may be an interesting venue for some members of the dive community.

We have now built a schedule of presenters and events, available via the Invited Speakers and Program links, with opportunities remaining to join us to present a poster or as a general participant at the meeting.

Our venue tab has information regarding the location for the event, expected housing costs, and information about the local area, to help you to plan your trip.

Finally, if you would like to be added to our mailing list, please fill out the form here. We very much hope that many of you will subscribe.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Tampa in May 2017!
