Orcas filmed attacking sharks in New Zealand

A spectacular fight between sharks and orcas has been captured on film on Boxing Day by local residents in Tuatapere, New Zealand

The orcas, or killer whales as they are often referred to, apparently attacked the sharks in an amazing display of natural predators at work herded the sharks toward the shore to force them into shallow waters.

One shark desperate to escape from the enormous beasts even beaches itself on the sand. It is seen desperately flapping around in a bid to escape the whales, which were unable to move onto the sand.
