Dr Marshall, who the BBC christened the "Queen of the Manta Rays" after featuring her in the manta ray documentary of the same name, provides an interesting insight into the potential impact of Manta Ray eco-tourism.
Dr Marshall has been based in Tofo, sourthern Mozambique since 2004 and is a founder member of the Foundation for the Protection of Marine Megafauna (http://marinemegafauna.org/)
In the interview she touches on some very interesting aspects of manta ray eco-tourism and the horrendous emergence of catching manta rays to extract their gill rakers to sell to the Chinese medicinal trade market.
