Reef Photo & Video

Blue Heron Bridge, located in West Palm Beach, Florida hides a great location for macro photography. Reef Photo & Video store in Fort Lauderdale arranges great workshops, and there are still spots left for the next MACRO WORKSHOP under the bridge in February 2012.

The Press Release and Workshop information reads:

Join us February 9-12 for three days of shore diving and intense underwater photo learning! This dive site offers incredible diversity, and the shallow depths allow long dive times.  No boat rides, and no dive time limits!  A student to instructor ratio of 4:1 will provide ample opportunity for one on one critiques and questions, and our staff will be in the water to help guests find the small stuff!

The diversity of macro life at this site is unlike anything else in the tropical Atlantic. Unusual critters like seahorses, frogfish, pipefish, sea robins, batfish, stargazers, nudibranchs, and flatworms are common at this site bridge. A host of juveniles are starting their lives in this protected area before moving out on the reef. Tropical angelfish, spadefish, barracuda, and jacks are found amongst the bridge pilings. Eagle rays and stingrays feed in the sand flats, and manatee are even seen on occasion."

How can you not feel inspired to sign up! It is USD 350 for the 3 days, and includes the dives and a student to instructor ratio of 4:1. That will give you plenty of opportunity to pick their brain. Don't have the proper camera equip? No problem, rental rigs are available for customers that want to test drive a new system.
