Ken English
A few years ago, publishing referred simply to printing books, magazines and newspapers. Today, it includes ebooks, ezines, blogs and video.
Recently, I began to focus on marketing with social media, using Wordpress and Blogger blogs, micro-blogs, such as Twitter and Cinchcast, podcasting on BlogTalkRadio and other sites, as well as producing online video.
On the next page you will see links to various elements of social media, including several widgets for BlogTalkRadio and Cinchcast. If you are not familiar with Cinchast, take a look at a tutorial I did with Camtasia - How To Use Cinchcast.
On Twitter and other social media platforms, I post information about upcoming BlogTalkRadio shows, internet marketing events, online video and other related topics on Twitter.
I'm an online marketing consultant with a travel & tourism-oriented background. Since February 2008, I've produced more than 900 shows on BTR and have nearly as many videos on YouTube and other video sharing platforms, such as Viddler, Revver, Yahoo, Metacafe and Dailymotion.
I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell you placing video on your website is an effective way to get your website indexed. Video, combined with BlogTalkRadio, as part of an aggressive social media philosophy, is even more effective.
Whether your niche is internet marketing, or one that is very localized, online marketing is essential. People search for information now via Google, Bing and Yahoo, as well as dozens of other search engines. The likelihood of someone finding your website if when they search for your particular keywords diminishes as the number of indexed pages increase.
