The Smoothskin is laminated on one side and has a closed rubber surface on the other side.
The smooth surface seals well with the skin and prevents the intrusion of water.
An additional zipper at the collar provides additional wearing comfort. Under water, the throat is usually streched due to the lying position, so the collar of wetsuits is tailored more tightly as to avoid water intruding.
But on the surface, with a more natural position of the head, the collar feels restricting. This is where the neck zipper comes in; Open the zipper and breathe more easily.
