Holy mola - Oceanic Sunfish lights up fishing trip
Photographer Ian Osterloh encountered one of the ocean's most remarkable creatures on the NSW south coast this month.
Oceanic Sunfish
On Saturday, December 3, while on a fishing expedition trolling for marlin at The Kink, 25km east of Point Perpendicular, Jervis Bay, along the back edge of the continental shelf, a group of friends and I spotted a small striped marlin free-jumping about 300m from the bow of the boat.
