When is a pool not a pool? When it's 'Deep Dive Dubai'!

Underwater Attraction Park

It is clear that the team behind Deep Dive Dubai (DDD) instantly dismissed the standard sterile swimming pool setup. Instead, a surreal, intriguing sunken cityscape has been created, that engages divers sense of play, fun and fantasy. State-of-the-art lighting and sound systems have been fitted inside the pool to create different atmospheres, and the pool itself has been dressed and staged.

Molnár János: Exploring Budapest’s Underwater Caves

A rusty tram clatters past us. An uninterrupted line of cars slowly moves along Leó Frankel Street. Businessmen in dark suits hurry to their desks. Women in high heels walk carefully on the cobbled pavement. Between the houses, the ferries on the Danube can be seen, drifting past the Isle of Margaret that divides the town. We are in the middle of the Budapest morning rush hour. Our team attracts attention from passersby.

South Georgia

South Georgia is the most well-known of the Falkland Islands, also called Islas Malvinas. It lies nearly at the end of the world in the Southern Atlantic Ocean. To find this place on the map, draw an equilateral triangle with one vertex on Cape Horn and another on the Antarctic Peninsula. The third vertex in the east is our destination.

Diving the Dead Sea

Having dived in plenty of spots around the world, I am always on the lookout for an unusual destination with unusual dives. It goes without saying that diving in the Dead Sea is not commonly found on the list of classic dives, and that’s what attracted me to it. The inland sea is located 425 meters below sea level. It is the deepest place on Earth.
